With the ever-increasing knowledge of airborne disease and/or infection, comes the need to perform better than minimum requirements. The State of Texas Licenses Standards has not kept up with even the CDC Guidelines in many areas. Unfortunately, even if a facility does meet “minimum” State requirements this does not exonerate them from the potential litigation of nosocomial transmission be it TB, Hepatitis, Neonatal chicken pox, or aspergilliosos.
