Gold Series media filters are designed to outperform normal utility filter medias. Benefits include longer service life coupled with higher particle efficiency than other products in this category. These performance enhancements are described in sections as follows:
SECTION 1 The first layer is primarily responsible for the media long service life. The coarse larger fibers are designed to catch large particulate while allowing smaller particles to penetrate into the depth of the filter. This stage eliminates surface loading, filter matting, and other problems found in single density medias.
SECTION 2 This second layer of progressive denier fiber is designed to catch the smaller particulate in the air stream. The high efficiency is a result of filter cake build up in this fine fibered section. |

SECTION 3 The adhesive section of the media enhances the filter cake build up of layer 2. This non-migrating, non-allergenic, and non-toxic adhesive allows for the capture of small particles that would travel right through most single density medias. This layer is responsible for the excellent efficiency of Gold Series media filters.
SECTION 4 The final barrier layer of Gold Series media filters houses the internal wire frame, and helps prevent unloading of particulate caught in the filter. These are the finest fibers used in the media designed to be effective on small particle challenge.
AEGIS Antimicrobial System is a powerful tool to prevent the filter from becoming a microbial reservoir.
