Does Meeting all Minimum Standards Ensure Optimum Performance?

This discussion is played in the specification world everyday. Each new facility specification has those working to compete within a “Standard of Compliance” many times without reviewing whether the Standard is effective or sufficient for the intended use of the equipment specified. The purpose of this paper is to review this procedure of using Standards established for “Minimum” efficiencies for air handling design and the filtration equipment relating to the supply air in an end users finished product.
